Description
One time only special commission for ~weaver1217 of their bacabello character Adaire is feline form.Please, don't ever make me do an all black subject again.
My first attempt at doing a feline type creature. I promise I'll practice lots and my next one will actually look a feline (fyi: I like bigger cats like tiger, cougar, etc... no domestic). The detail was killed..

For some who doesn't normally draw felines you did a pretty good job. My main issuse is that it looks like you've crossbred a big cat (lion, tiger etc) with a house cat, which is still good but a little confusing for me e.deviantart.com/emoticons/a/a… " width="19" height="19" alt="
The black colouring is fantastic, especially the shading. The pose is brilliant too, very strong yet still quite cat-ish.
The tail strikes me as sort of out of place though. It's rather fluffy whereas the cat isn't so much itself. It also makes the picture look a little unbalanced.

Thanks for the critique Cheesey! I know there are a lot of things not right with this. To be honest, I don't know whether it's a big cat or a house cat, I think I was confused when I was drawing it. I promise though, future felines will be better.

Yay, She looks so good! The pose is great and I love the way you did the shading, all black or not she looks very muscular and powerful
For a first time feline attempt,I'd say you hit it spot on. I could definitely not do better without a ton of practice!
and finally I promise, if I ever commission you again I will be sure to not do Adaire again

Oooo! I see where you used the gel pen. It blends so well though it was hard for me to tell. XD

It's very good for a first attempt, actually; it is recognizably feline, and you didn't include any horse anatomy (which occurs quite often for artists who primarily draw horses). My only suggestion would be to make the body a bit more rectangular, as exemplified by this tiger picture. [link]
By the way, you handled black very well--don't know what you're upset about.

No problem. ^^ I've had some difficulty with drawing big cats' rectangular bodies too, so it's an area I can easily spot now.
I haven't ever had any trouble with black before. White, on the other hand, is horrible. Dx

White isn't too bad for me, maybe it's jsut because it was harder
to do more detail in the black, I don't know, haha. If I have patience
though, niether bother me.
