Description There comes a time in some peoples lives when they have to ask themselves "What have I done?" This is the scene I arrived at after my boyfriend and I received a frantic phone call from A friend. She had been in an accident, with her 7 month old child. This is the car that hit her from behind while she was stopped waiting to make a right turn. The babyfood was in her trunk. Most of the bottles had broken leaving shattered glass and its orange contents everywhere. This one had survived and landed exactly how you see it. Thankfully aside from a few sore necks everyone including the baby is fine. Just take this as a reminder of how precious life really is and how much we take it for grantet. May we never have to ask ourselves "What have I done?" and may the boy who drove this car consider himslef very lucky with the consequences he will have to attend to.

Extremely deep and powerful. I'm glad everyone was ok! It's sad thats not always the case, though.

Glad to hear that all was well.
Glad to see that you had the wits enought to see a photo op in such a frantic moment of time. Γͺtes vous un photojounalist? TrΓ¨s bien.
Even if you had not left the colour in the jar this would still have been an excellent photo.
This looks like an advertisment for drunk driving or something. Very impactful.

Thanks...sometimes I see through the camera lense more than I should. I'm more worried about getting the shot then if someone is ok...then I'm like "oh crap...that's wrong"

thanks, it was a one off. Funny how lucky I get some times. I took a couple shots from the accident but only snapped this one once without playing with exposures and such. All though I did snazz it up in photoshop a litte

This is some kind of "real art"....there is a piece and many thouhts behind.

I like this alot, so that is what youΒ΄ve done.

thanks, I seem to have gotten away from the more emotional pieces. I use to do a lot of them back in the day. unfortunately all of those are in storage somewhere. I'm a big fan of art that strikes a nerve. I need to get back into that mode. I'm glad you like ti for what it is.

you're obviously not short of comments, but i'd like to say i LOVE the message behind this photo.
On the photo i love how you've made it so simple, but the babyfood is at the front of the photo; literally and the way you've used focus. I'm not sure if it's deliberate but the way the photo uses black, white and grey is very hard-hitting too and really sends the message home.
Amazing. Art isn't just about pictures or words, it's the feeling, inspiration and motivation behind it and you've portrayed this image so well. I'm glad to hear no one was hurt, too.

wow, this one has real, profound meaning besides just being shot uniquely.

I know I'd be a real dipshit to make light of this, but when I looked at it and hadn't read the description yet I thought the title "reality" meant that this is what would happen if you really asked somebody in their car for Grey Pupon. I was going to suggest you title it "Here's Your fucking Grey Pupon, Asshole!" but yeah, then i read the description.

All I have to say is THANK GOD the baby was ok. I have young ones in my family and I dont know what I'd do if I got bad news about them.

Thanks...Da is having a photojournalism contest and I wanted to eneter it really bad but you can't do ANY kind of manipulting, not even dodging or burning, plus they want a minimum of 2 photos...I'm bumbed I put together a 3 picture display I might enter but I don't think it would even come close to winning...oh well
