Previous | Cover | NextThere are three deaths interpreted in this part. I'll list them below. First I just want to point out how unhygienic this kid is, running around without shoes too. Lol.
At this point the comic is somewhere past Roark.
Deaths so far:
Bidoof (died to a Kricketot while i was trying to grind, but it was whatever, that's why i made it a snack)
Shellos (died to either a random battle or while training, can't remember exactly. But it was whatever so gets to be a snack too)
Luxio (died to a random trainer battle somewhere after Roark)

Wow I really love your take on a nuzlocke comic! I love the colors and how the pokemon aren't necessarily pokemon, aside from the zubat. How come you picked zubat to actually illustrate? Most nuzlockes I see disregard zubats and only use them if they're low on pokes.

I had some special reasons to pick zubat, mostly because it was one of my most useful team member for a while and went through a lot, haha.

This is... this entire comic is just so creative and wonderful so far. I love that there's no dialogue; your pokémon interactions in the other nuzlocke already prove in almost every page that you're incredible at conveying meaning without it, and here it gets to shine even more. It's all so sweet and innocent, it's hard to believe the base concept came from something as potentially tragic as a nuzlocke playthrough! (also: COLOUR. I mean I love the grayscale + colour accents of the other run so so much, but this is fantastic too, so it's kind of like getting my cake and eating it too, hohoho~)
Seriously, I love this to bits and I'm so excited to see where you take it from here!

So a random thought hit me. What if instead of dying to a Kricketot, Zubat and Bidoof had actually been in a double battle? And then Zubat accidentally ended up attacking its partner Bidoof, resulting in a death? (I'd say confusion is plausible except the game makes it so you only hit yourself... >_<) But it explains why Zubat would be eating that particular cracker. xD
Anyways...food! I never would've guessed you'd use that as a medium. :3 Next thing I know you'll somehow end up using origami or something. (It'd be really cool to see a paper plane represent something though!)

It's an interesting though... even though I didn't happen in my game. XD I wish. Those deaths were just plain boring simple deaths in reality.

To everyone saying that's how he'll get sick, how else do you build up an immunity? You can't treat him like John Travolta, or Jake Gyllenhaal and put him in a plastic bubble. Kid needs to get sick, and build that immunity up.

XD Bidoof was my first catch and first death actually, i just interpreted it here with the shellos (who died later) as cookies because they weren't so significant. Yay for liberties
