even if two people of the same gender loving echother is a sin in the bible so are a lot of other things too, but god forgives everyone and loves everyone all the same, so honestly if he cared that much about a sin everyone would be going to hell, their arent any different levels of sin like how you people act liek there is

God forgives IF you accept His Son. And having accepted His Son, your are to turn away from sin, that pesky little word 'repent'. God loves you, but will NOT overlook sin, barring having Jesus as your Savior. God loves you, BUT He is also Just and will live up to His promise that 'the wages of sin is death'.

Even if you dont accept him though he still loves you. and also yeah you have to try and not sin, but thats not because God wants you to(thats maybe part of it),but its because its wrong to do bad in general and everyone in this world believers or not are going to sin no matter how good they act,we all sin every day, and if you ask for forgiveness, its forgiven, forgiveness mean that its over and gone and it will never be looked at again, as if it didnt happen

MyRepentance In reply to nightlily10 [2010-11-02 20:37:26 +0000 UTC]
He does love you, but without His Son, you are SEPARATED from God. The love for you is there, yet He will not acknowledge you as an unrepentant sinner.
Yes we all do sin, 'We all fall short of the glory of God', and 'everyones righteousness is as filthy rags to God'. And Jesus said "No one (pretty definitive word there) comes to the Father (God) but through me"
If you ask for forgiveness through Jesus as your Savior, only, you will be forgiven. You really need to understand that.

yeah i get it, im not hating on your religon or anything, i believe in God, but i hate it when people dont see that when they do stuff like being meanies to other people it does absolutly nothing at all to help bring people to God

I know you weren't.
I am not being meanies to people. I can say to a thief - It is wrong to steal. That separates the BEHAVIOR from the person. I can say to a person who engages in homosexual BEHAVIORS that those BEHAVIORS are wrong. Same thing.

Do you know the story of the adulterous woman who sought out Jesus?

Allow me a cut and paste - Please read, I'll say more after the end.
John 8
1Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Notice - many here would try to trip me up by talking of the old Law (stoning as punishment) as though I would have to approve of it. Yet even Jesus did not advocate it. After all of her accusers had left, what did Jesus say?
"Neither do I condemn thee (You are forgiven your sin): go and sin no more"
He is more than willing to forgive, because HE loves you, yet at the same time He says "sin no more" Stop it! Don't do that anymore! Repent of that behavior, turn away from it. So many miss that.
The same is true here - Yes, god and jesus love you, bi or not. But if you desire forgiveness, then repentence needs to happen too.

Plus the fact that we don't live in a theocracy.

Yes, incest is wrong too. I can't list every thing that I find is wrong. That would go on for a while. I must have accidentally left incest out in the last post. But yes, I believe incest is wrong in addition to those listed in my previous post.

Because it can potentially cause harm, especially if they try to have a child. If they have a child, it is pre-disposed to more health problems.

Ah, now YOU feel that a behavior can cause harm.
Hmmmm, we may be getting somewhere finally. So, you acknowledge that two consenting adults do not have carte blanche to do whatever they want sexually in their bedroom.

There's a difference though. Homosexuality cause no harm. And don't bring up AIDs, considering homosexuality did not start AIDs, and the current group with the highest percentage of AIDs is straight women.

Uh...it statistically causes no harm, or at the very least, less harm then heterosexual couples. Gay and lesbian couples are more likely to stay together than straight couples. Less opportunity for sleeping around, and less opportunity for STDs. Less opportunity for physical or emotional harm.

Uh, statistically, AIDS has cost BILLIONS to society, spread early on by the homoosexual population.
Uh, statistically, homosexuals cost the healthcare system even more in everyday STDs spread through promiscuity.
Uh, Statistically, there is a large number that require counselling, due to the deep seated knowledge that what they do is wrong.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PikaDiety In reply to MyRepentance [2010-10-27 20:57:32 +0000 UTC]
It wasn't spread by homosexuals only. You want to know how it happened? We didn't know about AIDs at the time (it did not start from homosexual sex), and at the time, STDs weren't really a huge deal. So why would gays and lesbians need condoms? They couldn't get pregnant, so they didn't need them. So at the time? Yeah, AIDs seemed like a gay disease, but that was because we didn't know about it at the time. Now that we know about it? Heterosexual women are the highest group with AIDs.
No. They need counseling because people tell them it's wrong. Not because they actually think it's wrong in their heart, but because they are bullied into thinking it's wrong.

Yes, there was cross over into the IV drug use population due to alot of homosexuals also dabbling in that. Also, it invaded the rest of the population through the blood supply and through unfaithful married men.
They need counselling because thier minds cannot accept what they are doing, they know it is wrong.
