Simply stunning as usual Emielcia ... just wow. For me, the DOF is just perfect. As stated previously, it helps focus your attention on the drop, and the rest of the flower is blurred; just a gentle reminder of the setting. Simply awesome job.
What kind of gear do you use? Camera, lens? Do you know what the f-stop was on this shot by any chance?

When you say close-up lenses, do you mean actual seperate lenses? Or just filters? Because I thought the A1 wasn't a DSLR. Anyway, I have a set of +1+2+4 filters myself, and love 'em!

Beautiful! At first I agreed that mor Depth of Focus would be good, but I changed my mind - I like the focus right where it is on the drop without the distraction of the flower.
