It's been months since I made these guys (as is, perhaps, proven by the fact that ahaha it's still s1 design for Luna...) and up until now I never uploaded them anywhere but the Desktop Ponies project over on ponychan (you can check here for more information, if you want ponies on your desktop. Protip THEY ARE ADORABLE). I wasn't really planning on doing much beyond that, but well, theft of desktop pony animations APPEARS TO BE POPULAR so I figure I might as well upload my Luna sprites here just in case.Also because she's cute and I'm proud of her.
I did NOT create the base template animation that I used for her, though I did create the horn and make her legs a bit longer, as well as creating her mane/tail/crown/eyes/etc. One of these days I'll do her unique wings too, and fix the tail (I think it's got a little too much flip, tbh) but for now I am pretty satisfied. Overall.

There a walking/standing template along with handy dandy instructional videos created by Monkeyjay over at the Desktop Ponies site . Just keep in mind that that little pony making 'kit' is engineered for photoshop - if you don't have that then you'll have to break the base animation down into frames and animate those separately even in something as simple as paint, and then put them together later in a program that can create transparent animated gifs. IIRC, there is a .gif blank template for flying hidden inside Rainbow Dash's folder inside the actual program, but if you really don't want to download that then I'm sure you could ask around in the thread on ponychan and someone would be willing to dig it up for you.

Welp! There's a template available for download at the site with handy dandy instructional videos, if you use photoshop. If not then I think there's another template that's done frame by frame rather than in layers that you can put together in another program, and then piece together with something that can make animated gifs! After that you can stick them in the program without too much bother. And if there isn't a non-layered template then if you ask around in the thread I'm sure someone would dig one up for you; I know they're around somewhere.
