At first "touch" seems to be annoing, but then...well, comes the thrill of experimentation...There are some little software to help Terragen, like Strata and World Builder and some plug-ins. Anyway you have a lot of fun making a landscape...

I'm still mulling over what to commit to and learn in detail. Terragen's interface is very dry, and there are many other options - I'm willing to spend a bit of cash...
