What looked like junk to me ends up being a prized antique of the captain's who's added it to the rest of her useless collection of thingamajigs and whatsabobs that she picks up from ancient civilizations we've come across or purchase from space markets. The constant burning furnace on its stomach is worrisome when we're in oxygen-limited environments but thankfully it's very loyal to both me and the Captain and seems trained to verbal commands so it knows to switch off its steam and enter hibernation mode when in enclosed spaces. I do admit though, its presence makes any room feel very cozy.
