So I wanted to illustrate a point... har, illustrate. yes bad pun is bad.

On the right we see a Fawnkiren. A creature I came up with about a year and a half ago now. As you see the lines are incredibly simple and there are basic shades added but not so much that it actually looks like theres really any lighting on it.
Its simple
its ok in quality, and generally just ok.
Cool character don't get me wrong! I was very proud of this guy!

Now on the left, a year and a half or so later, we see a Fawnkiren that I drew in less than half the time, with more detail, texture, value, etc. Its a more solid concept drawing.

I can DO conceptual drawings with graphite. Preferably a #2. I WISH i could do digital like I can traditional media. I can't for whatever reasons. Be it hours put in, understanding of the materials, what have you.

I GREATLY enjoy doing digital media. However, I started with traditional, and that is probably where I am always going to be better when it comes to skill.

you will probably start to see a LOT more traditional again. I need to get back to basics, and this was the start.
