Edit: Just a new scan from my newer scanner. It still looks a little too blue on the right side, but otherwise the colors are a lot more accurate.Lantis is a character of mine. She's the Queen of the Underworld. She is a very powerful and dangerous mix of Elf and Sorceress--her father was a wizard. She has more power than anyone anywhere in her world (except one wizard). The Faery Realm is the only other nation that could rival hers, so she hates the Faeries and is more than happy to keep this little one as a pet--more to torture him than for any other reason.
Watercolor, watercolor pencil, ink, gouache and acrylic. In the original the curtain doesn't look as blue on the right side as it does in the scan.

wonderful piece.. one of the pieces that really inspired a devwatch from me - however I feel that by looking at this piece that was done only a matter of months ago, you can really see a difference in how you've developed. Things like body structure seem more defined now. But really thats about it, I am just blown away by the loveliness of it. Great piece, and the blue thing doesn't really marr it 
loving the hair and the tiara type thing as well... and the little pet. I pity it but loveit there, because it adds to the air of mystery that she has. Again, great work

I love this composition, the colour scheme is classically gothic & the winged lizard really lifts that side of the picture.

Okay--I commented and favorited mostly because I saw your avatar and nearly died. I have a half-elven character (half vampire/half Elf) who also has the red and black hair. I mean, the girl could be -twins- with my Alarah character. With the exception that Alarah's not evil at all--she's more of a fighter chick than anything. ^.^ I have a colored version of my Alarah (only a facial pic) in my gallery if you want to see how similiar they are.
And this is an -awesome- picture, by the by.

Wow, they are pretty similar! And both half elves too. It would have been really scary if Lantis were half vampire. Then I would say that maybe she is Alarah's evil twin.

Hun, she's great. Again, the goth look works rather well here, though her face is a bit marblish (if u understand).
I love the little fairy in the globe, and the dragn leaning over her, they lend to the "evilness" of the atmosphere.

Very beautiful! I must say I am quite fond of her hair. I also think that anyone in their right mind wouldn't mind having a fairy as a sla--I mean pet. I'd like to have a fairy to play with and make dance...

I can't but admire your imagination and technique, this is just gorgeous! The pose is very difficult to draw without making it look unnatural and yet you've succeeded to make it very realistic... and the shading! And the translucent sphere! Oh, my.
