I ALMOST LOST MY SANITY THERE. *faints*Spent at least 6 hours on 2 days for this. I need to do lots of redrawing and fixing from the sketch so it takes longer than it should be. Layton's face and hands look weiiird, so don't pay attention to them. Also, trying (another) new coloring style yayi.
...yeah I know I should be studying for maths and history tomorrow but I'm too lazy. Woo hoo.
What do you guys think? :3

I think the face and hands are fine in that they match the style of the drawing. I like the books (they look like puzzle blocks!) and the facial expressions and the story this scene is telling.
In fact, if - and only if - I was forced to give some kind of negative critique, then the only thing I can point out is the window in the background; it looks flat. That, however, is my personal opinion, and it's really your call as the artist.

Ah, now that you mentioned it, I looked at it again and found you're right... it is kinda flat. I'll try to work better on backgrounds next time.
