“Pegasi Drop”
I always wanted to do something with Pre-Apocalypse Equestrian army from Fallout: Equestria. An aerial shot of high altitude lands was another thing I wanted to do for a while.
The Pegasi Air Force of Equestria was a concept I came up when I begun creating the background for my story, Crimson Tide, expanding on what was already said in the original work written by KKat. In my idea: the pegasi were both the stormtroopers of Equestria, but they also acted as carriers and support for ground based Equestrian Common Army. Even with Macintosh’s Marauders showing that all three races can be fully integrated into a fighting unit, Pegasi Pride and their natural dynamic and tactics still ensured their sovereignty as a separate fighting force.

After Rainbow Dash become the Ministry Mare, she reformed the Pegasi with her own schemes in mind. Their uniforms now resembled the Shadowbolts uniform which terrified the zebra, as if they knew that the design came from Nightmare Moon herself. Their dress uniform, consisting of black berets soon made them known to everyone as the elite Black Berets. They soon became the propaganda poster mares for the Equestrian Citizens and their resiliance and independence allowed the formation to survive, albeit as a rank-and-file troops even after the Great Recall.
