I remember starting with the brotherhood while my friend started with the original. We didn't know we were watching different ones so we were so confused when talking about what we recently watched. XD both series are great and the movies.

I vastly prefer Brotherhood since I think there's a whole lot more characterization, overall. My absolute favorite is Riza, hands down. I love that she's such a strong and competent character without a whit of alchemic ability.
