Again, the colors you throw together always look so gorgeous. I'm sorry you can't get ahold of any alcohol markers...depending on which colors you need I might be able to send you some of mine? I was never able to manage how to really use them, at least they'd be going to good use.

Oooh! I love it! I think the back needs some texture but apart from that its awesome. The colors are great and the whole thing is put together nicely. And, since I think you're pretty much just starting out with the whole digital thing, that's pretty fucking sweet. A whole lot of people can't do shit when they first start out.

Ah well I used to do some a long while back when I got my first Wacom (like 2006) but I never really got my own style at it. It's true though, I still have troubles with back muscles if that's what you meant (or maybe the dots?). Thanks for the critique, I need more of these, and you're about the only one who kind of points things out sometimes. I appreciate that. <3

Oh and I wanted to ask your thoughts on something if that's alright.
Lately I have been really thinking hard about what I want to do when I am older. I definitely want to do something involving art if I can get into the business (game design, illustration, maybe architecture, etc) and I have always preferred traditional over digital by a long shot. I think if I was to get into the industry I would have to use a lot of digital. I am wondering whether or not I should start doing a bit of digital if I really want to do something such as game design. I'm just not sure and I don't have anyone else to ask these questions, so sorry if I take up your time too often.
Btw I really like the hair, you used to have green hair right?

Elleir In reply to Physc0o [2011-06-04 23:59:05 +0000 UTC]
Yes I used to have green hair ; Right now they're like the last picture I drew digitally (Purple, blue and turquoise).
for your question, I really wouldn't know. I guess it's not a bad thing to practice different medias. Why would you ask me about that though? I don't think you need an exterior advice about a choice only you can make about your future.

I asked you because you do plenty of traditional and suddenly did a couple of digital drawings so i thought you might know what i mean. Don't worry anyway. I am going to start doing some digital. ill just have to do it and see how it goes.

have you tried ebay? you can get copics for around $2 - $2.50 each

Ah, but I just saw the markers, and the shipping is 3$ for a 3$ marker. It's not really fair!

i got a set from the US of around 70 for $130 with $30 postage and i actually made a profit by selling the ones i knew i wouldn't use so i bought a huge bunch of 209 with 28 multiliners for $300 + $50 postage (there were quite a lot of duplicates but i will re sell them). i think you would have to buy a set from a normal person that doesn't powersell. just type in copics then click Auctions only. power sellers usually put buy it now auctions so that will get rid of them. see how that goes.

I would take those duplicates.

LOL, well from a very young age, without being a tight ass, I was very conscious of money and what I put it towards. I never usually buy crap, I prefer to save up and get something that I will enjoy for ages. Same with my clothes, I buy something that I will wear until it falls apart. Anyway I am re-selling them so I will be getting my money back as well as being able to keep a bunch.. I used to envy the kids who got lots of pocket money but now I am glad i didn't because I have learnt how to use money and appreciate it more.

Yes, yes, I totally see what you mean.
Actually I kind of spend money but I also am very conscious and I always have an account to save up and keep money for summertime or projects I have. The thing is that my mom always taught me never to be stopped by money problems, because it restrains you from so many things and it's a shame that people miss so many things because of it. In this perspective, I save up until I get in a trip to a certain city or for a festival; then I'll spend a certain amount without worrying too much. But hey, I do notice I am that girly girl who consumes quite a lot of clothings. Although I learned to shop in thrift stores and modify my clothes so that they last longer the way I want them to be.

Oooh. Yeah Copics would work better, I tried ebaying Letraset and Promarkers and it only gave me packages of the same price range than in my art supply shop. Thanks for the tip.

Did you try prismacolor markers? I have a set of 72 that I got for like 150 and someodd shiping and handleing. I think I got them on Amazon. [link] Also I love your style <3 as you know I think. Anyways to point out lets see. Are you trying for boldness? Or are you after a type of blur? The colors are very bold. And thats not a bad thing in fact I love boldness ( I use very thick lines at times and plan colors with out blending) How the arms bending is really creative. I say your doing fine but agree with 's comment.

yeah then again you need 150$ up front to buy them and make profit out of it

I think I need to draw you something! You're work has been so very inspiring to me these past few days! I love the textured feel this has, and that hand is lovely. She looks marred, but it's tragically beautiful. The colors look so good together. When I try doing those colors (or colors like those) it seems off to me, but you use them together and it works, in my mind.

Oooh, I would love you to draw something :3
I'm so glad I can inspire people like they inspire me. It's one of the great things about sharing our works.
And those colours are the basic pallet on the colour swatches (?) on Photoshop. I tried a lot of things in the past that didn't work out at all, but I don't know, it's so fun to play with vibrant colours, you kind of get it after a while.

Well I shall see what I can come up with! :3 I agree. A lot of people have complaints about Deviantart, but in the end it's a good art community if only because you get to see others work and it's a well of inspiration! :3

Hahaha, I'm assuming this is a good thing. I wish I could draw them more mutant-ish, though. I need to study anatomical anomalies and malformations, I really wish I could pull out that kind of stuff in my drawings.
