Let's see if this works here... I'm not even sure about the category.This is the first proper animation I've ever done in my life so I know that it's very simple and crappy... But I must start with something, right? And I think this could be a lot worse... Actually, I'm a little proud of myself because I got this finished (I had a very boring evening) and I didn't lose my nerves badly while doing this
But yeah, I need a LOT of practise...Maybe I should have coloured the sky... But I was lazy... And as you can see, I didn't pay much attention to anatomy etc., this is just a practise.

I think it's pretty cool. I know it takes a lot of patience, because I have done anmations on GIMP for my own entertainment (don't expect to see any from me on dA in the near future--I'm still trying to develop some sort of drawing ability) Anyway, nice job--the movements are very natural and smooth, and that is a very good accomplishment right there!

Thank you very much! Yeah, it's hard but fun. I started to make a few other animations after this but unfortunately our old laptop got broken last autumn so I lost Photoshop CS4. I can't afford to buy that program and my brother is too lazy to... erhm... steal it again for me

Aww, that's too bad. You can download GIMP for free, you know, and it let's you do animations, and you can still use your tablet, if that is what you are using.And GIMP does let you open Photoshop files.

Really? I do have a GIMP but I didn't know you can open Photoshop files with it. I have only practised doing basic digital art with it. Thanks for the help!

Yes, they do support the photoshop file extensions, but it doesn't save in photoshop file extensions. If you have the help file, it explains that a little(but, dammit, the help file isn't indexed very well).

I don't know much about animations, but this seems very smooth for your first real animation! You may not think you have payed much attention to anatomy, but hey, I can tell it's a wolf anyways. I hope you can learn more about animation in the future, this is a lovely start!

Yeah, I was doing a few other animations until our old laptop broke down. I don't have Photoshop cs4 anymore so I can't finish them... I'm trying to find some free program with which I could make animations again.

That sucks that you lost photoshop. I heard that Blender (it's downloadable from their website, they also have a whole bunch of tutorials on howto use it) is a pretty nice animation tool to use (2d or 3d), but I never got around to trying it out myself.

The only reason I know about it is because I was asking about animation programs at the World Skills thingy that was happening over summer. Hopefully it works!

I downloaded Blender, it's a 3D animation program (if it's possible to make 2D with it too, I don't know how to do it). It's reeeally complicated for me, I'm trying out the tutorials but still I don't get it

Maybe, but I think it's a lot more complicated than photoshop because you can't draw with it in a normal way. You can just modify different shapes, haha. And there's so much new stuff. I must admit that it's quite interesting anyway

I think there's a way to transfer 2D images into Blender and build off of that into a 3D image. I just don't know how to xD I should probably take a look at it too.
