Today's September 14th, which marks my 4th year here on deviantART. I thought I would celebrate by submitting this. 4th year of submitting art, and nearly 5 years since I started Inheritance art/read Eragon.Although this is simple, it clearly states who I think will be the green rider. Obviously Arya guys....anyways, re-did her design to include armour. Some of the bottom got cut off though, you SHOULD be able to see her whole hand....
SO, the first of many book 4 art, which I can't wait to do actual scenes. Guess what the first scene I draw will be, just guess. Because it totally can't be the epic AxE that will happen.
Anyways, about book 4 and art, my group is having a contest about what you think will happen in book 4. Draw what you think will happen and win awesome prizes. I know what you mean. I just finished a picture of a wolf and he's facing the vantage point full on and I must have rubbed out and redone his eyes twenty million times but they are still wonky. It sucks.

Plus dragons are so hard to get emotions in their eyes. If any of my eyes (human and dragon alike) look blank without personality, I ditch the entire thing. The eyes are very important when drawing.

Very true. Eyes are the windows to the soul as the saying goes. I hate it when my eyes are unemotional. It looks very...flat. I try hard with my dragon eyes for the emotion and when I get it just right, I am so happy!!
But I findi it hard to manuplate in Photoshop when I'm colouring, you have to get all the highlights and stuff right. I end up like doing them a gazillion times and it gets very frustrating.

Happy Birthday to You! I love the pic as with all of your art. the epicness is to huge for me to express! I think at this point in the series, it's obvious the next rider will be Arya, but I don't want a huge discussion about that here...now that i've put in my two cents, I must

yeah i thought that too as well...but chris said it would be unexpected, and almost everyone thinks it will be her. i don't mind her that much, but it's like she is already pretty much perfect, and to get the last dragon as well?! -_-

Btw, I think you generally capture the feeling of the series very well. When i see you're pictures, I really think that they belong in that story.

Oh wow, thanks a lot! I try really hard to make them my own characters when designing them and put a lot of thought into making them suitable representations of the characters from the books

Roran kinda doesn't make sense because if he became a dragon rider, he would live for ages while Katrina and his children would die. Being a dragon rider doesn't suit his character set up.
