My good buddy chum pal Virune has her birthday today and I wanted to draw her something nice because she's been a cool person to me for so long!
Lin is such a cool looking character and I just had to draw him. His reference didn't have a back view so I had to take some liberties with his design, but I hope that you like this! Have a great birthday and a pleasant year ;v;
I haven't drawn anything good in like 2 months and didn't touch my tablet in weeks now and suddenly I draw the best thing in my life? What is this witchcraft? The entire bottom half looks like it was taken from someone else, I can't even believe I painted that. I'm really excited to improve now!

Look man, normally I don't draw and then realise I lost half of my techniques, but in my absence I observed other people's art and thus learned! It's how I did the legs, I looked at KatieHofgard 's way of shading and wanted to try it out myself lol

i dont have an in depth critique but i really love the complementary color scheme you used, and the design of this character has a very unique silhouette! i think the shading is a bit too stark in places (particularly the face) and it might look better with softer shading in places/lower contrast, but that's pretty subjective. also love the dynamic pose you used!

This character was such a delight to work with, and I think how different his colours are from my own characters definitely contributed to the way the colours worked out! I did see it was a bit dramatic, but I love me some dramatic shading :'D
And it's cool to hear my pose being called dynamic! I've been struggling for ages to get my poses to be less stale, and I'm personally proud of this one too c:
