The day a dragon returned part 12

Out on the loose with no idea where I am going I fly following the dragon who I come to know as Siphala. We fly over a forest of pine trees heading southeast, where are we going I say in dragon tong though to a human it would have sounded like a mixture of growls and grunts. My home before I became a guardian was her reply seaming to fly a little faster my family will want to meet you she says excitedly. Your family you have a family? Shure she says though they will be a lot older than when I last saw them because guardians sleep in a trance and age slowly at least until the pearl is bothered then we defended it but I had chosen to let a clam help and it ends up far away from me then this happens because of my stupidity she says gesturing towards me though it's not your fault. I flew for 5 hours until I heard my stomach growl wheres a Mickey D's when you need one I'm hungry I say looking around the forest below me like a McDonald's would appear out of nowhere. I'm hungry too let's grab something to eat she says as she lands in the forest.

Where I say as I land only to see her sniffing the ground there's a deer close by she says as she starts running stealthy down a barely visible trail, running after her i say deer! I don't want to eat a deer I'd rather have a hamburger. There's none of your human food out here so it's the deer or nothing she says with a smile on her mussel unless you can catch a few rabbits running around over there she say tauntingly making me frown. After a while she catches sight of the deer and crouches while slowly inching towards it I on the other hand stay out of sight and out of the way. She pounces and the cry of a frightened deer fill the forest then it goes silent, coming into view I see her biting its neck. She lets go and still in a mocking voice says you first let's see if you still want your hamburger now. The smell of the deers blood was making my mind go crazy with conflicting thoughts to eat or not to eat I then find my mouth full of blood and raw meat and unable to stop eating, by the time we finish it the sun was starting to go down. We need to find a place to sleep I would rather not be here when the wolves come out she says starting to walk in one Direction we eventually come across a deep river, this is good enough we can sleep on the bottom she says as she jumped into the water and swims down I on the other hand am looking at her like she was crazy but followed her after stashing my clothes and Wallet in a tree. As soon as I get in I feel my neck open up like someone taking a knife to it but with no pain I am then able to breath again with relief I find a place on the bottom within eye sight of her and soon fall asleep

I'm wake up feeling a sharp pain in my wing and find Siphala sleeping next to me with my wing in her mouth which makes me gently remove it to avoid tearing it on her teeth (didn't we sleep apart) I thought a bit confused. Noticing the morning light on the surface I go up to find breakfast. I brake the surface of the water startling a fox that was drinking making it scurry under a bush. Giving chase run after the red blur pretty much for exercise but it ended badly when I pounced on it crushing his scull. Oops sorry little fox I say holding its dying body, that is the first time I have seen a dragon feel sorry about catching its prey says Siphala coming out from behind a tree laughing all the while startling me at her sudden appearance, I was only chasing it I didn't want to kill it I exclaimed putting it on the ground. If you aren't going to eat it then I will it's been along time since I had a fox she says looking at it, you eat fox? I ask as she began to eat, cutting a leg off with her claws she gives it to me and says between chewing here try it, I couldn't place the taste but I not sure there is a meat that a dragon doesn't like. After breakfast we were back to flying to where ever we were going.

After flying for a hour I see a town on the horizon a little to our left she sees it too and looks back at me I guess my face said it because she sighs and starts heading to the town. We land on its outskirts so that I could get ready, changing my form I put on the clothes I had brought with me and see her staring at me making me a bit embarrassed, I'll stay here because I can't do that she says as she lies down beside a tree feeling sorry I say I won't be gone long and head into the town. It looked like a town from far away but it was more well more, a little more than a town but a little less than a city well anyway I was walking down the sidewalk when a car stops and out comes a few guys I say 5 or 6 years older than me wielding baseball bats, one saying well look at this freak let's show it why it shouldn't be in my part of town. Coming at me full force he swings his bat at me which I grab out of mid swing with a angry look on my face saying did you just call me a freak and a it, my anger caused my nose to start smoking because making the guy was look less confident now so I picked him up and tossed him at his car and started walking again it's better not to fight people I could hurt. About a hour later I come across heaven I was staring at a McDonald's and I was hungry for not having much breakfast walking inside I order two MC muffins and chocolate milky to go, the cashier was a bit frightened but I eventually got a good breakfast. I paid and was heading out when she stopped me to take my picture. I got out and was flying back to Siphala eating all the wile.

I arrive and I take off my clothes and change form, she was sleeping so I woke her up and soon we were flying again, it takes most of the afternoon but she says there's our destination. looking ahead I see a chain of mountains. Is that the Appalachian mountains I ask that's what humans call it but my home is in a cave among them she answered. 30 minutes later we land on a peak and look down at the interlocking mountains she was looking at the forest covered mountains until she said there while pointing out a cleverly hidden cave. Flying down to it we enter to find a red, glowing circle suspended in mid air near the far wall.
