Description She didn't know when it had started, but it was always the same, every night. She would find herself in a long, marble hallway, beautiful beyond imagination, alien and yet familiar somehow. In the end of it there was always the mirror, and the waiting shape within it.

Looking into the reflective surface she never saw herself, instead an unfamiliar shape, a pale woman, look at her with pleading eyes. No words were uttered, and yet she could hear untold wish as if it was spoken aloud: 'release me'. Every time she would shake her head, not knowing how to help, and the woman in the mirror would turn away in anguish, the room around her fading into nothing.

She'd stopped telling the scientists about it. They would always say the same thing, that she was not human, she didn't posses the ability to dream.

It didn't matter though, it could be her little secret.

Anyone remember my little artificial senshi? (If you don't you should read up about her: [link] ) I'd been wanting to draw her again for some time now, and it was about time to do another mirror drawing, right? Although I admit it, I have used this one before!

Anyway, I luff my AI! Not too happy about her feet, and her head came out too small, but I luff her none the less!

Sailor Moon (c) Naoko Takeuchi.

The second one is correct! It is indeed a physical representation of the previous owner of "her" starseed.

LOVING the usage of the pun in a Sailor Moon context. It kind of saddens me the only franchise to ever use that pun was Video Girl Ai.

I BET THAT REFLECTION IS HER SAILOR CRYSTAL. *read her other description* XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

elila In reply to galacticpink [2010-08-08 08:53:43 +0000 UTC]

He he! And who knows who that reflection is, I totally NEVER do anything that's clichΓ© or have plotpoints that can be spotted from miles away!

Oh, wait...

galacticpink In reply to elila [2010-08-08 18:39:08 +0000 UTC]

Uh, this IS Sailor Moon. Never bash a fancharacter for something that's totally normal in the fandom. Don't like people winning by last minute power ups granted by the power of love? Don't watch/read Sailor Moon. XD

elila In reply to galacticpink [2010-08-08 20:13:06 +0000 UTC]

I like to be more subtle sometimes though, I love springing surprises on people! Of course, this wasn't a drawing for that intention, so I don't feel bad about it!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

galacticpink In reply to elila [2010-08-08 20:21:46 +0000 UTC]

Killing off characters is an awesome way to do that, if a bit violent. Especially if you've set up that death is cheap (like people going into Sailor Moon tend to assume). When you make it NOT cheap... BAM. XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

elila In reply to galacticpink [2010-08-08 20:34:46 +0000 UTC]

True!

I have a tendency to not make death cheap (mainly because I usually find that when done it's done badly), unless I need it to make crack babies, in that case I have no trouble resurrection anyone and everyone through the power of the deus ex machina.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

galacticpink In reply to elila [2010-08-08 21:28:35 +0000 UTC]

Well, people define Death is Cheap differently too.

To me, Death is Cheap is what happens in the Sailor Moon anime. Its like, "woop de doo they're dead how long will it take for them to come back THIS time?" - It loses so much impact.

Often times my Deaths are Expensive. The character dies and comes back, but there were costs. The costs could be something simple like they lose some of their abilities and have to fight tooth and nail to get them back or something like huge sacrifices had to be made to get them back.

It does tend to be rare I keep characters dead, though. XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

elila In reply to galacticpink [2010-08-08 21:46:46 +0000 UTC]

I think it was handled a bit better in the manga, but then again when I have a soft spot for characters and/or stories I can go temporary blind for things that I might otherwise not approve of. I prefer instances of "whops, I wasn't really dead after all" over "randomly brought back to life because it suits the story".

I usually prefer for character who are dead to stay dead. Of course, not all the characters I seem to kill off are actually dead, and I have a huge tendency go use reincarnation for all that it's worth. (At least that's what I comfort myself with!) I don't think I have many that comes back from the dead!

And if they did, I'd probably make them a zombie. Or, well, I do have an original universe character who is resurrected, but uh... I don't think it counts when it is against your will!

galacticpink In reply to elila [2010-08-08 22:37:29 +0000 UTC]

For the disaster that was the StarS anime, it actually did it the best of most of them in terms of cheap death. I... never did get the randomly spouting wings that seems to be a Moon Princess only thing in the anime. What the hell was Moon thinking when she jumped off the flying rock!? I mean, that always bothered me! She never sprouted wings before, so she can't have known about the damn things! Hell, even Neherennia was all "0__o lolwhut?" over it!

When you're dealing wtih time fluctuations and travel, reincarnation can be very fun. XD

Nice job. I like the concept of your Sailor AI.
Is the woman she see in the mirror the original holder of her sailor crystal? She looks pretty but sad. I like her eyes, their so expressive.

The two look very good, my friend. You sure know how to do emotional art.

Very interesting.... Are you going to draw who the mirror-woman is at some time? Because I'd love to see her gown better. But a very lovely - albeit very interesting - image you have. The back side of Liza's fuku is show, and that's nice.

Cool! It somehow seems like the next logical step, when you have exhausted most of the "new senshi" ideas, you have to come up with something different!
