Ariel feeling a bit homesick.I swear, this just...happened.
I was browsing around for reference pics for something completely different (the upper left lady here, if you're interested: [link] ).
During which process I stumbeled upon a wonderful picture by the awesomely talented ,and was instantly inspired.
Suddenly this thing right here had manifested itself on my computer screen.
I've broken all rules here, using the blur-, dodge-, and burn-tools like a maniac. Because I can ^^
Quite messy, as always.
And how come nobody ever told me how fun it is to draw rain?!?!

This is gorgeous! The mood of the piece is conveyed really well, and while the colors are darker and blue like sadness, her expression is still hopeful, content even. Love it.

Thank you so much! Well, it is quite messy, as I said in the description - but I was pleased with her expression and the overall atpmosphere (which is why I decided to post it) - so I'm glad you noticed it!

Oh,I'm not surprised - I'm terrible at drawing hands! And feet, for that matter.
Looking at it now, I believe her thumb should't be showing in that position, just for starting.
