yeah the more traditional bad-ass Faerie. you know they're not all cute lil girls with wings o_o some are quite grotesque o_O and most like to toy with ppl for amusement. ^.^ heh hehanyway yeah I was trying to go for a look closer to that of faerie lore >w>; heh
and once again I think the categories, especially for Fantasy, really sucks ass...

Due to certain concerns brought to my attention, let me just clarify this once so as to not have it become a problem again...
This sketch was drawn along the tradition of original faerie lore. While I'm flattered (and even intimated) to be compared to a very famous artist, namely Brian Froud, this has NOTHING to do with him. possibly inspired by his very accurate depiction of traditional faeries (it's been a while. I don't remember my exact thoughts), but the reason why it may look similar is not because I'm copying.. or "Stealing" from him, but because we're both drawing from the same original source, the longstanding traditional design from the original faeries.
So yeah, this is 100% my work. Please do your research before accusing me.

Just wanna say it's a shame people connect you with Brian Froud. It's similar to his style but that shouldn't condemn you.
People often connect my work with Jill Barklem and Beatrix Potter....but although I respect their work I wouldn't dream of duplicating their art.....

Well yes while I really respect and admire Froud, I don't like being accused for something I didn't do. Fortunately that was just a one time affair with.. a .. self proclaimed righteous person *coughcough* glad nothing ever came of it. xD

Whoa, I'm not sure whether to be complimented or insulted. Excuse me, but I am very familiar with Brian Froud's work and greatly admire him! This was a sketch I drew in my sketchbook. It has nothing to do with him or his work. I love fantasy and I love faeries. It may look similar because it's along the same tradition of traditional faerie design. that does not make this his work. In fact, he's a hell lot better than me! I am not going to take it down because IT'S MY DRAWING FROM MY HEAD, thank you very much.

I love this, and I appreciate so much that you actually took time and looked into faerie lore. The pose is wonderful, did you use a reference or is this straight from your head?

my sisters and I all love original faerie lore. (although my lil sis is the one who does most of the reading cuz I just dun read much books in general

yeah fearies ARE creepy owo >w> my sisters and I are really into the faerie lore xD especially feefee. she's read a lot of books based on the traditional faeries
