Yeah, CN's quality has slipped - a lot. I'm sorry that they've canceled Symbionic Titan - it was a glimmer of light in the otherwise blah lineup they've offered lately.

The only one I don't recognize is Mr. Green. D: Costume's friggin' epic, though! This makes me miss having cable so much! I loved those shows.

The whole convention was a blast, but this day was the best ever! The girl playing Ben10 made the horns - I think they look awesome.
Mr. Green was the 'Substitute Creature' from the Powerpuff Girls. He filled in for Ms. Keane one day and the girls thought he was going to hurt all the children in the class when in fact they were completely wrong and he just happened to be a hideous monster that loved children. He's a very charming and sweet character.

She did a really good job! They do look awesome. Props are hard to make, especially two or more that are supposed to look the same!
...How did I miss this? I actually would watch that show! He does sound really charming. I think I'm going to go searching for this episode.

I'll admit it - I squealed when she first showed me the horns. I never could have made anything half as good.
'Substitute Creature' is a great episode - the girls' imaginations really get ahead of them!

Oh, jeez, at DragonCon there was cosplay from everything ranging from commercials to cartoons to comic books to film to generic fantasy creatures. You name it, it was there.

I once even saw Mario and Luigi, two Storm Troopers, and a Pyramid Head. Oh and a guy dressed as a Wii controller. This was at the Anime Convention (Kawaii Kon) Never heard of a DragonCon. ):

Every anime, movie, book, comic book, cartoon, video games, and sci-fi show you can imagine. There are whole squadrons of stormtroopers (some wear kilts) and some of the costumes are as good as if not better than what you see in movies.
DragonCon is massive - it's held in four hotels in Atlanta and draws somewhere up over 40,000 people (a lowball estimate - not everyone that attends buys badges).

Yes - I bought the biggest hoodie I could find at the Goodwill store (it was a hideous mustard yellow color) and dyed it orange the night before I flew to Atlanta.

How did you dye it?
I'm new to all this stuff and I'd like to dye some things of mine but I simply do not know how to. D:

Dying stuff is easy - you just need the powder or liquid dye, a washing machine, and time. In this case I used powdered dye since it was the only type I could lay hold of in a rush. The color turned out just right, which surprised me because the fabric was half synthetic and that's hard to dye. I had hoped for a stronger color, but upon seeing the results I was quite happy. Add huge jeans, a bowl-cut wig, and a bit of attitude and you got yourself Numbah 4!
