I kind of want to get it and play it for myself, but considering I haven't even touched Amnesia, my first introduction to horror gaming... I think I'd fear quit before I even got to mister Walker!

Well, if that is how you feel... personally, I think Walker becomes something akin to your best buddy in there once you got acquainted with those twins and Doc Traeger *shudder*. Yes, Chris will stalk you mercilessly, but eventually you will come to like him (wow this sounds creepy)... just keep running

You should give it a try, I think the game gives you the fun kind of scares and has a nice style (enjoy it while the graphics look still top-notch to you). Amnesia is cool, but looks a bit out-dated to me these days... well and Amnesia was a little more complicated to play

Amnesia is partially nostalgic horror for me, and it's just creepy... I loved seeing the graphics, gameplay, and story of Outlast. I agree, Traeger was frigging nightmare fuel, but it seemed to me that so long as you could get to a bookshelf, you were okay with Walker. Didn't make him any less HOLYSHITIMGONNADIE and so forth So it's a fantastic game, I'm just jittery and very susceptible to the atmosphere in good horror games...
