My intention was to capture the sun rays, that is why I chose to place the horizon there

It"s an impressive shot. Nice light, great capture of the wave. I really like the contrast between the rugged cliffs in the background/plane and the and the rounded boulders in the front.
I'm just not exactly comfortable with the proportions. . . My suggestion would be to move the horizon a bit higher. Just a bit though, so it's probably nothing to concern yourself with.
