Something I did up in Open Canvas while Kew was in there with me, today.I started out wanting to redraw a picture I had scanned into the computer from a long time ago. It was a portrait sketch of my cleric from Rappelz, the online MMORPG, but as it went along, I decided to turn her into Leynas instead. It was fun!
I took it into PhotoShop to compress the file and such, as usual. I saw a spot of color that was off and tried to use the brush to fix it, but for some reason it wouldn't do that. Instead of fixing the color, the brush went and changed the color balance of that area. It looked pretty neat to see the whole picture's color scheme change whenever I got a huge brush and splashed it all across Leynas. I messed with some other tools in there as well, after changing her back to her original color. So now she looks all shiny and stuff, unlike in the original picture.
I hadn't used PS for stuff like that in AGES, I forgot how fun it could be till now. x) But I still don't like PS for making lineart or coloring art.

hmm I can't really give any in depth critique aside from little details. Like the shading in her right part part of body next to the hair, where I think it should be more solid looking, or the frills area on her neck, where it seems a bit too light there. They aren't that important, tho, and I understand it can be dificullt to fix it, specially the first one if you do all the coloring on a single layer.
Aside from that the picture is very awesome. You already know much I love those tones in her hair. You used PS? what for? : o. The pics looks quite like the same I think, except for some spots.
About the brush settings, maybe you had the brush set to a different mode from normal, such as multiply or overlay, thus getting different colors. However, you sure made it look nice.
Was so nice to see it being created ^_^ And I must admit those baggy eyes look cuter than I thought X)
