Whooho! Can't believe I've finally managed to get this to a point where I'm not completely ashamed of it!! I'd very much appreciate some feedback on this, so long as you're not all too cruel.... Its not a pretty sight when I cry!This may well be sent as a gift to my best friends, but I'm not sure yet...

Very lovely image ... Somehow I missed this image ... just noticed it has been up since 2005!
I know how you feel about getting an image to a point where you are reasonably content with it! Took me over a year to get this baby done and I cheated on the background (photomanip) and didn't put a character in!
You have done a marvelous job on your creation ... I notice a few things that may improve it but please note that these are very minor issues ...
1) The composition is good but could perhaps be improved a bit if you could extend the left side a small amount so the dragon's face is not centered.
2) Shading and shadows are excellent overall ... the only problem I see is that where the lady is leaning against the dragon there could be more contrast (her dress could be a little lighter 
3) Colours and depth are great.
Truly ... overall it is a lovely image!
