lollll so i thought it would be a good idea to marathon superjail! while extremely sleep deprived to the point of being delerious. guess what, i was right haha

i overanalyzed the hellll out of it and have come to the following conclusion: i think that the superjail is a reference to hell and the characters all references to sins (lol you can tell i was pretty sleep deprived to make such a leap) reasoning: 1. vast, unending punishment as run of the mill, 2. specialized punishments, executions,experimentation etc also run of the mill, 3. the warden's charismatic but cruel demeanor, 4 the volcanic location and frequently subterranean settings, 5. the fact that its obviously full of extreme sinners, 6. the warden's deep hatred of pure innocence.
i think the warden represents vanity, jared as gluttony, alice as lust, jailbot as wrath, jackknife as greed. (making the twins envy and pride? that makes some vague ammount of sense lol).
haha what lead me to come to this conclusion is the similarity to gary panter's work which made me think of jimbos inferno and then dantes inferno so on and so forth.
