Description I started writing the Tales of Esper Ravenwood in 2013. It's been five years. My art has come a long way, and so have my resolve and life experience. I distinctly remember a dream in which Esper - who already existed as a character by that time - appeared to me, took my face in his hands and asked me if I could see him. I could. He said, "Then you can make me real." I did.

The primary color of that dream was purple, and it's a feeling I've tried to capture ever since. For my fifth anniversary as a writer and my tenth as an artist, I'm re-working the original covers for at least the first six of my books. (I have eight out.) I felt it only appropriate to incorporate bits of that dream that sparked this whole thing off. This will be the new cover for Revenant.

Thank you, Hrafnavin. You are my truest muse.

.... all of which to say that I'm not dead, I'm just tangled up in commissions and school. So this is the first "personal" piece I've gotten to do in a while.

It's so nice to see Esper!   He's such a wonderful character to read about and see in your art.  I can understand characters coming to us in our dreams, mine do!  (...I should really install an alarm system for my dreams...)   Our muses work in weird ways, huh?  Mine not so easily as yours.     Mine just gets a kick out of tormenting me, while yours seems to really want to aid you in furthering your work.

What I really love about your works featuring Esper, is how many different stages of his life you have shown us.    I continue to learn about him through your work.

I have no idea what to reply with, other than a hug. So.
