Given the endings of ME3, this is a bit bitter sweet instead of just sad, since Kaidan and Shepard can be together again at the end and don't have to be alone for long.

*wails* Nooooo Kaidan noooo~! In my sekkrit headcanon I like the idea of Kaidan having serious health problems as a result of being an L2, but nothing that would kill him. I just couldn't do that. You break my heart, Eji. You and your lovely drawings.
