little foxy
finally crawled my way out of the art phobia today(4 hours worth, at least. i havnt moved all day haha)
for....~Queenofdragins cos i promised her an acrylic painting.
i wanted to paint a fox because some one who does fox hunting offered to give me some spare foxes he has for taxidermy. otherwise he would just leave them in the forests to rot; i should be getting said foxy this week. i really think fox hunting is disgusting, but i would rather put what we have left to good use, so it can be beautiful again. instead of it just rotting in some hunters forest, where no one will see it again. nothing i can do to stop fox hunters; they need to hunt them to keep them from their chickens i suppose.

didnt help either i had a creamy terracotta orange, deep red and lemon yellow to paint with - as well as the biggest, cheapest paintbrushes you ever saw. you should see my paint pallet, trying to find the right colours XD no digital editing either

You did an excellent job on the lighting and the colors and even the background(the fox stands out <3 )and awesome job on the fur <3

I feel kinda sad when I look at this, it looks exactly like my cat Peter as a fox, the face and everything... (He hasn't passed away if thats what your thinking, sorry if I made anyone worry.)

I did - it made me feel sad for the fox. -_-
It's actually illegal to hunt them here, because we've done so much damage to their population. People still hold "Fox Hunts", but they do a "drag hunt" where someone actually goes over the area an lays down a false scent the night before.

ooh ..i think its illegal here, but you can get a license and shoot as many as you like, cos around the fields and farmers lands there are so many of them, and they take chickens and other small livestock etc. cant say i agree with the way they are killed, with the dogs and such...but ya know, its something that must be done?

True. In all honesty, it's not the killing that bothers me so much as the method, chasing them down with the organized hunts and dogs and running them to the ground and all that...

yeh ..i understand they need to get rid of the foxes, but why make it a game? why make them suffer as much as possible? they have to eat to survive, its not like your getting revenge or anything

I agree. If it's an absolute necessity to kill them in order to preserve human livelihood, then do it as quickly and painlessly as possible...
