Lots of people say they wouldn't live near these but I don't understand why. I rather like the aesthetics of industrial buildings. There's a rawness and fitness to them that contrasts interestingly both with the landscape and with residential structures. Also, the fiery (or at least steamy) bravura of generation is itself attractive. Wouldn't be able to see your photography or communicate with you without such generation!

And the homes seem strange somehow...and the road has been closed...you can see the tire tracks all turning to the right...
All add up to something not quite normal...

No, I guess it is a coal power plant. It is located in one of the former coal mining areas of Belgium. And also there was only normal type of security directly at the plant. Nuclear is different.
These roads were actually surprisingly busy on a Saturday - in all directions
