This is really clever work! The Parasite is a great villain for Goku to face off against when knowing nothing about him.
This is also indicative of Goku the martial artist. Yes, Goku will go to great lengths not to kill, perhaps sometimes being naïve or being accommodating to a foe. But the same villains coming back over and over again wouldn't often happen, because fighters in DBZ play for keeps.
Although, I suspect Gohan in his super hero role, or Krillian/ Kuririn as a police officer dial the super power stuff down quite a bit as they face mere human criminals most of the time. But, it might require a lot of paperwork, but police officers don't blindly follow the 'super hero code' of never taking a life either.
Anyway, its a great way for Superman and Goku to meet as the 'code' now lies violated. Goku meeting the guy 'stronger than him' when he's weakened. Not good for the stranger in a strange land.

On that note, I just LOVED the end part of Injustice where the True Superman
fought the tyrant version..Despite me being more of a Batman fan.
I didn't even care how hard the fight was. I just enjoyed it.
