I really like this style! I wanted to do a self portrait, for fun! I think I'm getting a little better.Paint Tool Sai and Wacom Bamboo Tablet.

The colors in this drawing are mesmerizing. I really love the detailed pattern on the shirt, the glow in the hair, and the beautiful eyes. The background is lovely and blurred creating an effect of depth. The shadows are well located, so is the shine. I do find the hand a little bit flat looking, and the chin is a little bit lop-sided, but hey even human faces aren't perfect, however to avoid that try mirroring your drawing horizontally. This drawing is very clean, the lineart matches the colors, there are no smudges or color-holes. The girl is drawn very proportionally, and has a lovely smile. The concept of the colors, I find very original, it's a unique blend, however the subject of the drawing is very plain. I do find it lovely though!!! Keep up the good work.

Oooh I didnt mean it like that, I meant the whole subject of the image. I like plain and simple, but since critiques include a rating for originality, I found your drawing was very simple to be considered as very original, but in no way does it mean it wasn't pretty. Even a self-portrait can be considered super original if it is made from a super weird angle, or done as if mirroring in another mirror and etc. I honestly don't have so much ideas, and I love your drawing as it is, I only lowered the rating a bit, to be fair to those who actually complicate their image beyond my imagination.Β
