Description I've drawn this during my "Fundaments of Urbanization Process" class. I really like the class, but sometimes I don't feel like writing, just listen.

I did this in honor to `hakubaikou , who was a Shinsengumi and Rurouni Kenshin fan, and also a great artist. May she rest in peace.

This Okita Souji was drawn based on Peacemaker Kurogane, not in Rurouni Kenshin though.

Peacemaker Kurogane (c) Nanae Chrono
Media: Mechanical Pencil 2B 0.5, Pencils 4B and 6B.

This is kinda distorted... did you draw this at a funny angle?

Omg, this comment is old, I forgot to reply to it x.x

I've drawn during a class so I probably wasn't on the best position to draw, hence the distortion, maybe.

I thought... you did is a mass reply where you gave me a well earned educational boot to the head on the day I commented. (Thanks, BTW).

Anyway, yes, drawing on (presumably) a flat surface, especially when you aren't used to it, can lead to distortion. Though looking at it now, I don't think the distortion is that bad. Not compared to some of the stuff I've seen.

Oh I did o_o? I was checking this deviation because I'm cleaning up my gallery from old works and I couldn't find a reply on your comment (maybe I've replied via note, sorry if I was a bit hash on my previous comment, if I was, sometimes people think I'm angry at them when I tell them about the way they comment things, I just don't want people to get in trouble for not expressing their opinion well, because I get complains sometimes from people who submit works to a group I moderate and that get rejected because they do not follow the group's rules and quality expectations. Being a mod, I always try to be polite, yet tell the truth about what needs to get improved and yet I still get some trouble sometimes)

Ah, don't worry about not remembering it!

(Don't worry, you were only as harsh as you needed to be.)

This is very gorgeous. I love how smooth and cleaning the shading looks, especially in the hair.

Good job on this piece. I like how you've done the shading and the folds on Okita's clothing :3

Beautiful, you picked a good subject to honor her, she really did love the Shinsengumi, and I think she would have liked this. Wonderful job with the monochromatic shading.
