unique perspective indeed! those dots at the top are really interesting, they lead your eye very well towards the opening of the washer, the escape. a very interesting shot, and wonderful that you used another homemade camera.

it was really fun to shoot because i really didnt know what to expect when i developed the negatives. theres a real surprised when doing pinhole because its really unpredictable most of the time.

it's an interesting idea you had. the escaping point is the best part of it. instead to lead us outside you picture, it forces us to stay inside the washing machine. the little dots helps greatly the movement in you pic. very nice.

I've never tried pinhole photography but it looks very interesting. The angle is great, considering this is inside a washing machine (I suspect) this is a very surprising photo. The contrast is so sharp is makes it feel very digital and abstract. Though the little smudgy bit on the left does distract the eye and maybe this deserves being taken away.

This is a really interesting photo. I don't think I've ever seen anyone take a picture of the inside of a chocolate box before. If you don't mine me asking, what is a pinhole camera?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

eiknop In reply to LillyMaiden [2006-05-31 16:49:38 +0000 UTC]

actually..the CAMERA is made out of a chocolate box. the image is OF the inside of a washing machine. a pinhole camera is a lensless camera -- a simple camera obscura. it has a tinsy tiny hole that the light can expose the film/paper with. try googling it to find out more...

This is certainly a unique perspective... I can't exactly figure out what it is, making it a wonderful abstract. I do see though some great textures and shapes all brought out by the lighting and abstracted even more by the fact that it's in black and white... great creative piece! Keep up the wonderful work!
