This is my brand spanking new tattoo, done on Wednesday June 1 at Bolder Syde Custom Tattooing in Kamloops, BC by Cablz.

It's a pretty simple tattoo but it is my first so I decided for something little but packed with meaning.

Since the 11th grade - at least once a semester - I've had to study/read about/talk about Samuel Beckett, a master playwright, author and poet. When I first encountered Beckett I thought it was total shit and couldn't believe anyone thought he was a master of anything, I didn't understand his point of view or what he was trying to accomplish with his writings. That was 7 years ago. And although now I may not always understand what he wanted to get across I have become a better reader and am able to interpret my own meanings.

This quote is from his last novel Worstward Ho (and also quoted by Gideon on the series premier of Criminal Minds). "Try again. Fail again. Fail better." No one is perfect at anything, there are always aspects that we "fail" at but as long as we do it to the best of our abilities we are still "failing" but "failing better"

Anyways, I realize that was TL;DR this is the first of many tattoos to come
