Description I own a few different types of watercolor paper, so on a whim I decided to try out my paints on all of them. The results were surprising: Arches is miles ahead of all the others:
- more consistent color, no weird feathering or ugly light patches
- crisper edges
- more vibrant color

It's even a pleasure to paint on, it feels very different than painting on the others. Moleskine / Canson / Fluid are all about equally awful. They are not bad paper, but I'm going to do all my paintings on Arches from now on. Watercolor looks like watercolor on Arches, and looks like marker on the others.
