Outside everything you seeIs the smile that I display
Behind closed doors, within me
A little piece cracks off every day
It rolls off to a dark place
Darker than I knew I had
It makes its own special space
Sits there, just to make me sad
And secretly

Falling apart
Shredding my heart
Then this dark space, it expands
Day by day, grows blacker still
All the feelings I have banned
There are ways but is there will?
The darkness surrounding me
Will never be blacker than
Those who say they cannot see
The black that envelops man
