I bet it will feel good whenever he saves somebody's life now. In Squadron Supreme, Tom Thumb (Marvel's loose adaption of DC's Atom) invented a neuron-scrubbing machine that would erase a villaiin's evil thoughts. Then a stereotype super-villain found a way to reverse the brainwashing. Interestingly, not all the forcibly reformed villains returned to evil . Some felt so good doing good, that they voluntarily stayed good when their full free will for good AND evil was returned.

Very good one; yeah, Saurus would do great in a rescue team, especially if partnered with someone who can locate the victims for him, like, someone with X-ray vision or super senses.

I think so. Some heroes can fight or save people. Saurus can do both pretty easily.

Super-strength and size can be useful, true... but shrinking could also help (find them in the first place) and element transformation would be plainly and simply the best. Why lift the wreckage when you can transform it into air... or even better (depending on how skilled you are) into the medical equipment and medicines the injured need?

Eggplantm In reply to ardashir [2010-04-05 13:41:05 +0000 UTC]
Well, if you can transform anything into anything else you are basically a god which is almost too good a power for a hero to have without some serious limitations.

I love the expression on his face in the last panel. One wonders what exactly he is feeling and thinking in that panel. To me he looks sad, but sad at what.

He's kind of just surprised in the last panel. He's never been thanked for doing something nice cause he's rarely done it.

A lot of people have commented on that last panel. It was fun. Different to see an anthro macro who isn't having sex with the buildings, huh?

Well, it maybe fun to have power so people are powerless to the likes of Saurus, the down side is, people are powerless to the likes of Saurus...
Any way, I can see the wrestling lizard and bi-polar panda being great buddies, like Rattrap and Dinobot, Spock and MCoy, Nostalgia Critic and the AVGN, Sonny and Cher.:-P

The first panel, you see what makes a team leader. The second, you ask more to yourself, is he wanting revenge, or wondering what now? It never quite gets answered, and always more fun to see, the final panel, now this is perhaps the real shining moment, The "what if" moment that can define a villain more as a hero than anything. That is etched on his face is in such amazing relief here. And gratitude, with the two, has he ever seen that in another person, or has it been fear, terror, and hate? This, is the pinnacle of his choice, and you did a superb job showing the question unasked, but he needs the answer, Do I walk away, or do I made a stand to stop this?

But forgot to add, not many writers get the transition right, or stick with the easier anti-hero type.

Villains make, almost always, the more interesting heroes because they embody such a different outlook to heroes. Between this and the other side comic to the world, quetzacoatl (i hope i got it right) its darn difficult to pick a favorite between them.

I think that's because the villains come with their own inner conflict built in. Spiderman and batman have always been good because they are more easily challenged and they are full of inner conflict.

Thanks. THere have been a few marvel villains like venom and deadpool who have gotten some attention and their own stories but they usually just stay the jerks they are and don't really change
