A drawing I did a while back and recently colored. I like my mythical creatures to look like stand alone species and not look exactly like someone just stuck the different parts together so I gave her whole body similar color patterns.Related content

Wow, you did an excellent job with this one ^^ the background reminds me of the Chronicals of Narnia 
And I like the idea of the color patterns all the way around, it turned out really really good ^^

I like how the colours of the character integrate so well with the colour scheme of the background photo, though I can't help but wonder... Would it have been more...convincing had you disturbed the snow a little and made it seem more like the character was running through? It seems as if you did the character, then stuck it onto a real life picture... To integrate it better, it would seem best to have the nature around it a little disturbed or misplaced by the running.

This is probably my favorite one you've done so far.... you've heard me comment before, but I do's it again!!! There's something to be said for character design, and you've really knocked out a great one here. A lot about a character's personality and backstory can be told just through his or her design... I can surmise that this character is courageous, adept, fiercely loyal, and carries a ton of experience. The piece itself sucks me right in.... I want to know more! WHO is this brave soldier? WHAT is she fighting for? WHO is the unfortunate schmuck about to get skewered?
It also amazes me how you manage to color so well USING A MOUSE.

Please, you're going to make me blush. The backstory on this character is as follows: My wife and some friends & I would play D&D almost weekly. My wife decided to make a crazy character that ended up being a female centaur Paladin (Kind of a holy warrior). She was freaking unstoppable. Nothing could stand up to one of her charges. She was so awesome in fact that the rest of the group was beginning to feel less than adequate so she retired the character as a type of sheriff in a village composed of many monstrous races and beasts. I honestly can't remember her name. This was drawn because my wife wanted to see a picture of her.
