Finally I did it! A new deviation under the topic of Iraq Chronicles: US Marine! He is fighting for his dead friends or just executing orders..He is actually an assault trooper with M4 carbine. M4 now can be commonly seen in US Army. (M4 shouldnt be mixed with M16!) Anyway, this carbine is not alone, M203 and ACOG are attached over it. M203 is 40mm attachable grenade launcher. ACOG is "Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight", the small scope on the top of the carbine.
This pic can be count as a milestone for me. For the first time I did such an active drawing. He is moving and reloading his grenade launcher!
I'd like to add something: M4 has too much details!!! I was tired because of the gun and did the pants very roughly.. I hope there are not so many mistakes... ^^" Comments are welcome always!

well...you can always check google images when you REALLY want to be a detail-nazi, well if you want details i think you forgot the charging handle (it's dark and i can't see propperly, in case it was there)
the barrel is a little high and a little short even for a carbine, and the stock looks a little wierd.
it's good though, you shouldn't go to much into details.

agree with guy below on uniform styling but otherwise good detailing and facial expression, like the spent round it gives it a good effect

Nice detail, the M4A1 Carbine is detailed and pretty nice. But if he is supposed to by a Marine the Ameirican flags need to come off of the sleeves. The USMC does not wear the flag only the Army wears it. The motion id good and the lines are fluid. Nice pic.

Thank you for your comments and fav. I used to know all of them wear a flag, my mistake. Next time I will be careful about this. So his sleeves should be empty or another patch should be on his sleeves?

USMC no patches on the sleeves but there are pockets on the sleeves. Only US ARMY and US AIRFORCE have patches on the BDU sleeve.

Really good. Not to nitpick, but wearing of the flags on the shoulders is more of an Army thing than a Marine thing. We're not big on patches.

You mean Marines does not have flag on their shoulders? Oh man, sorry. Actually I do not know when there is flag or something else. You know, I only see Marines on TV and video games. I will keep this in mind.

Very nice drawing and very nice attention to detail, however i can see no distinguishable markings as to what branch (besides the U.S. Marine Corps written next to it) this soldier is part of.

I dont know too much about the US markings. I looked marine photos from internet and mosty I see there is only US flag on their arms. I thought the flag is enough. If you know something else, please share.

Nice pic ( my only tip would be next time have his index finger off the main trigger and running parallel to the weapon)

Yeah the finger doesnt need to touch the trigger there. However at first, there was no grenade launcher, he was using his carbine. Then I added grenade launcher and thought it would look better if he reloads. But I forgot the finger

Looks awesome.
The only critique I have (If I may say it) is the lack of a camo pattern on the Marine's clothing...
Apart from everything look ok.

First I started to do camo but didnt like, because the shading and camo mixed. I erased and thought "maybe nobody will recognize"
I will find a way to do camo and shading together in my next drawing of Iraq Chronicles

You could try inking the lineart, scan it and then with PhotoShop or other painting sofware paint it. With a little practice it's possible to reproduce the same camo patterns.
Remember... practice is the key

I decided this Iraq project will only include traditional work, but if I improve myself on photoshop, why not?! I will try that one day.

But traditional work is still amzingly great. Specially for the shadings
