Okay...
First thing: Sorry for the late answer...
Second thing: How I draw like this:
1.I make a sketch
2.I color the characters
3.Then I make a new layer for the shadings
4.After that I select the option "Clipping Group" for this layer
5.Now I shade everything and use the water tool for blending
and so on...

Awwwnnn, how cute! I actually have an espeon charrie that dated a leafeon(Well, he was a flareon that used to wear a leafeon outfit. Don't ask why xD).
I love it when someone draws a not over-used eeveelution couple, like Leafeon x Espeon
