Really just the standard hard brush most of the time (and standard soft brush).

You mean texture difference between the eyeball and the skin around it? One thing obviously is that the eyeball is round so putting emphasis on that by stronger contrasting shading helps (as well as bright highlights). Skin has duller highlights as it's not a shiny surface and that shows it's a different texture.

Yes i did, naturally.. Drawing digitally with a mouse is really only something you do when you're just starting out, if you want to get more serious you should definitely be using a tablet, it's just a lot more convenient.

This is absolutely amazing! Β And it's really nice to see your process, I really struggle with painting, I know I should use a hard brush with low opacity but I always struggle with blending!

I don't use low opacity that much at first, you start with a high opacity and then go into lower opacity later to make it smoother.

Yeah, don't be scared to paint a little rough at the start, you can always refine it later, that also makes it easy to catch mistakes early on.

There's ways of getting around that, sometimes it SEEMS like a big transition in values but it's not really.. That's why it's good to look at your paintings in greytones.

I feel The bottom eye lids are too dark on both. I think you also exaggerated the eye lashes for the bottom eye lid too.
