Dex Entry : This pokemon lives deep underground, it slowly burns through its fuel filled body as it ages. In preparation for evolution it eats as much stone and coal as possible to re-stock its energy reserves.

yeah same shape main body, but that's the shape I wanted to use. Hopefully its evos will separate it.

It still looks good though, and there's plenty of Pokemon that look very similar to each other but aren't confirmed to be related, like Milotic and Gyarados, Gothita and Smoochum... The list goes on. To be honest, this Pokemon looks like it is part of the evolution tree Roggenrola is in (y'know, not the Pokemon Evolution, the Beardy Bloke Darwin evolution)!

Yeah I had always thought about that, in the cartoon they described Archen as being the ancestor of all flying Pokemon so that would suggest that Pokemon must have gradual evolution like us and the type of drastic evolution that is unique to them, or...... It was never meant to be thought of in such a complex manner
