This is another one of my favorite science fiction and horror films (actually, it's one of my favorite films in general). Everything about this film i am in love with. The minimal score is so haunting and is one of the best examples of what a score should do to the audience/viewer.

First I thought that the settlement at the backround was a city, which reminded me about the planned TV-series about The Thing which was mentioned in Linkara's video about The Thing comic book The Thing from Another World #2.

That is a neat poster. I like the scratchy style of the title and the blue-gray tones along with the foggy weather. I think fog, along with dark and stormy nights, are good settings for this genre of movie.
I also really like how you did the mountains in the background, making the far ranges progressively more lightly colored than the ones in the foreground. I remember really liking learning how to do that in art class when I was in high school.
