 A splendid little bird - it is especially fascinating to compare and contrast the American Robin with its European cousins, always a particular favourite with The British.

Yep, I've heard the two are quite different in size. I like the way Beatrix Potter rendered them: tiny, yet very dignified.

 Don't let little robin redbreast fool you - they're actually quite tough customers, being noticeable territorial (the reason they keep appearing on Christmas Cards is that they muscle out all the other contenders).
