OOOOOOOH I LOVE PASTELS!!! (I'm an oil pastel addict but I love chalk pastels, too!) I just love how you did everything here, the sea, the sky, the ship, everything! Everything adds a feeling of foreboding to the piece here. I'd like to make a suggestion, though, which will hopefully help you out a little, give the masts a bit of a shape. Don't just take the pastel and drive it up the canvas. I hope I helped you a little and I am so adding this to my favourites! I loev seeing pirate traditional art!

Well my thing is, I can't do too much detail with pastels or paints, so i try to keep it simple.
