Description
"Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way.
Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it...
Pippin: What? Gandalf? See what?
Gandalf: White shores... and beyond. A far green country under a swift sunrise...
Pippin: Well, does not seem so bad ...
Gandalf: No. .. No it isn't."
This is one of my favorite scenes of the whole work of The Lord of the Rings. Is simply magnificent union of this dialog Gandalf with the ship scene.
They were gone, never to return. Allusion to death? Yes, but I often think they were just going to a better place.
I offer along 'Into the West' of Annie Lennox, in this great end credit of Return of the King.
"...The ships have come to carry you home
And all will turn
To silver glass
A light on the water
All souls pass..."

I used HB pencils, 4B and 6B.
A thanks to Fantaasiatoidab by understanding how this scene is important to me and leave me free to draw it too.

''Pippin: Nunca pensei que o fim seria assim...
Gandalf: Fim?
Disponibilizo junto 'Into the West' da Annie Lennox, presente no excelente crédito final do Retorno do Rei.
As almas passarão..."

Utilizei lápis HB, 4B e 6B.
