I finally finished it~ I would have finished it earlier, but.. well.. I and my sister got Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Christmas, and this is just too much fun to play~~ we spent two days playing it!Anyway
this comic refers to the Ocarina of Time manga. For those who haven't read it: in the manga, Volvagia - a dragon able to speak few words - is shown to be Link's friend in his childhood, posessed by Ganondorf seven years later. Link has to kill him, which is really hard for him, as he still sees Volvagia as a friend. And just before dying, Volvagia gets back his memory of being friends with Link. Whee, I love the feels that Akira Himekawa gave their relationship.

Oh my gosh the feeeeeelz! I want to support this somehow in my head canon that I've been writing about him~! I mean, I have it that Volga ends but having a good relationship with Past Link(the Link that split Ganondorf soul into 4 pieces) so he sees a little bit of him in HW Link.
I have that Volvagia is either Volga's ancestor or his past self. And to add more feels...Volga is the last Pyro dragon in all of Hyrule...he just doesn't know it yet. And the head canon is based on Volga's past since he'll NEVER get one... so yeah. I have 4 chapters done out of 8 or 10. ^-^' If you want... you could take a look maybe..?

I was thinking that somehow Cia brought Volvagia to that time period and made his body nearly like Link's, which would explain why he has a blonde goatee

Nope. He's from the HW time period. If you done Cia's story, you learn what really happened.Β
Also that's not a goatee. I thought it was too but if you look closely, its doesn't look like it at all. Its actually part of his helmet. The helmet is suppose to look like the dragon's mouth. If you look at the official sketch art design for Volga, they show he has hair but no goatee, meaning that's armor he's wearing. You can also tell its armor if you have in the TP costume for his armor. The armor changes to a darker gold that matches the eyes on the dragon head on Volga's helmet. The rest of his armor is a jet black. So its armor. It kinda reminds me of those gundum suit helmets but without the visor on it. His original design for the helmet did have a visor but I guess they decided to scrap it. Β I think he would of looked cool with a small visor over his eyes but I guess they decided to scrap it because in the era Hyrule Warriors takes, I don't think they have stuff like that just yet.Β

I think it's obvious that there's some relation between Volga and Volvagia, and if not reincarnation, then maybe Volga's some descendant of the dragon from the Era of Hero of Time
