Have you considered smooth folding and thinner paper?
I find that most papercrafts don't require thick paper unless they're of abnormal dimensions.
My models come out more organic looking when smooth folded and the thinner paper lays closer to flush with itself.
That said, if she were larger than (I'm guessing) 20in you may wish to use thicker paper.

yeah thinner paper would work better with this model, but it was more a test build anyways, because i want to test the difficulty of the small hands and it work pretty good i think
